Jane Ross-Wheatley

I am a qualified counsellor and an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the BACP's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

I trained as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Studies and an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling (2003).

As an integrateive therapist I incorporate a number of techniques from psychotherapy models for understanding emotional development and behaviour into counselling sessions, which includes cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), transactional analysis (TA) for example, although I have conducted many hours of CBT training I am not pure CBT therapist.

I am an Advanced Certified Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner and abide by AAMET* International's Code of Conduct and Ethics (*Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques).

I have an established practice in Wells, Somerset, offering counselling to individuals. My work has included counselling at Off the Record, Bristol, a counselling charity for young people aged between 13-25.

As well as attending monthly supervision for both Counselling and EFT, I undetake regular Continued Professional Development in both fields.
