Jane Ross-Wheatley

I am a qualified counsellor and an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the BACP's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

I trained as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Studies and an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling (2003).

As an integrative therapist I incorporate a number of techniques from psychotherapy models for understanding emotional development and behaviour into counselling sessions, which includes cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), transactional analysis (TA), exploration through sand tray and Emotional Freedom Technique (acupoint tapping) for example, and although I have conducted many hours of CBT training, I am not pure CBT therapist.

I am an EFTi* Accredited Advanced Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner and abide by EFTi Code of Conduct and Ethics  (*Emotional Freedom Technique International).

I have an established practice in Wells, Somerset, offering counselling to individuals. My work has included counselling at Off the Record, Bristol, a counselling charity for young people aged between 13-25.

As well as attending monthly supervision for both Counselling and EFT, I undertake regular Continued Professional Development in both fields.
